Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie with Apple

Taste

Mild, creamy and fruity, with gentle strawberry sweetness and a hint of apple.

About this smoothie

The apple is the quiet helper here. It adds natural sweetness and body, so fewer strawberries still give a full glass, and it makes the smoothie less dependent on perfectly ripe berries. Natural yogurt brings creaminess and a light tang, milk the drinkable consistency.

Strawberries are a good source of vitamin C, and the whole drink is mild enough for children. It works for breakfast, as an after-school snack or as a light dessert. With frozen strawberries it becomes almost like a soft ice cream shake.

Bartender tips

  • Leave the apple skin on for more color and fiber, as long as your blender can handle it.
  • Use frozen strawberries for a colder, thicker version without ice.

Variations

Vanilla touch
Add a pinch of vanilla or a few drops of vanilla extract for a dessert-like glass.
