About this smoothie

Blackberries and apples ripen around the same time in late summer and early autumn, which is why they often end up together in desserts. In this smoothie the dark berries provide colour and a deep fruitiness, the apple adds crisp sweetness. Rolled oats bring fibre and make the drink more filling, while yogurt and milk make it creamy.

It works well as a breakfast in a glass on busy mornings.

Bartender tips

  • Let the oats soak in the milk for 5 minutes first for a smoother result.
  • A pinch of cinnamon brings out the crumble character.

Variations
