About this smoothie

Strawberry and dairy is one of the oldest and most popular combinations in drinks and desserts, from milkshakes to strawberry lassi. Strawberries are a good source of vitamin C and bring a natural sweetness when they are fully ripe. Yoghurt adds tang and body, milk thins it just enough to drink comfortably. The smoothie makes a quick breakfast and is also popular with children as an afternoon snack.

Bartender tips

  • The flavour stands and falls with the strawberries; in winter frozen berries often taste better than fresh imports.
  • Wash strawberries before hulling, otherwise they soak up water.

Variations

Strawberry banana
Add half a banana for extra sweetness and a thicker body.
