Taste
Creamy, mild and softly sweet, with a thick oat body and a light almond note.
About this smoothie
This simple breakfast smoothie takes the basic idea of muesli and turns it into a drink. Rolled oats are known for their fibre and make the glass thick and filling. A ripe banana supplies natural sweetness and a creamy texture. Whole milk and almond milk combine richness with a light nutty flavour, and a spoon of yoghurt adds tang.
It is mild and familiar, popular with children, and a quick breakfast for busy mornings.
Bartender tips
A very ripe banana makes the agave syrup unnecessary.
A pinch of cinnamon or cardamom gives it a warm, cosy note.
Variations
Muesli cocoa
Add 1 tsp cocoa powder for a chocolate breakfast drink.
