About this smoothie

Blueberries give smoothies their colour and a gentle tartness; they also contain vitamin C and fibre. The ripe banana balances them with sweetness and body, so the honey is really optional.

Natural yoghurt adds a little tang and protein, whole milk makes the texture round and mild. The result is a classic breakfast smoothie that also works well after sport, when you want something filling but not heavy. Children usually like it too, thanks to its mild taste.

Bartender tips

  • Freeze sliced banana in advance for a thick, milkshake style texture.
  • The riper the banana, the less honey you need.

Variations

Vegan
Use oat milk and soy or coconut yoghurt and sweeten with agave syrup.
