About this smoothie

This smoothie is built from two fruits most kitchens have at hand. The apple provides juice and a gentle crispness, strawberries the colour and aroma. Both fruits contain fibre, and strawberries are a good source of vitamin C.

A small amount of parsley was part of the original recipe; it gives a subtle herbal edge without making the drink taste green. With coconut water the result is light, a good match for breakfast or a warm afternoon.

Bartender tips

  • Sweet apple varieties such as Gala or Fuji suit this smoothie best.
  • Add a few ice cubes if the fruit is not chilled.

Variations

Creamy version
Replace half of the coconut water with oat drink.
