Mango makes this green smoothie sweet and tropical, avocado makes it velvety. The spinach gives the colour, but you will hardly taste it.

About this smoothie

Spinach, avocado and mango is one of the most popular green smoothie combinations, and for good reason. The mango brings plenty of sweetness and vitamin C, the avocado a buttery texture and mostly unsaturated fat, and the spinach a deep green colour.

Together they make a smoothie that feels substantial enough for breakfast without dairy. Only water is used as liquid, so it stays vegan and light. Add agave syrup only if your mango is not fully ripe.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen mango chunks make the smoothie colder and even creamier.
  • A squeeze of lime juice brightens the flavour.

Variations

With coconut water
Replace the water with coconut water for a slightly sweeter, more tropical taste.
