Soy Milk Spinach Smoothie

Only three ingredients, and it tastes more like a banana milkshake than a green smoothie. Soy milk gives it a creamy body.

About this smoothie

Soy milk is a plant-based drink made from soybeans and contains considerably more protein than most other plant milks, which makes this smoothie a little more filling. Baby spinach has a very mild flavour and mainly contributes colour, and it contains folate and vitamin K. The ripe banana supplies sweetness and creaminess. This simple smoothie is a gentle introduction to green drinks, suitable for breakfast or after exercise.

Bartender tips

  • Unsweetened soy milk lets the banana sweetness come through.
  • A frozen banana makes it thicker and colder.

Variations

With oats
Add a tablespoon of rolled oats for a more filling breakfast.
