About this smoothie

Oats in a smoothie are a simple way to make it more filling. Rolled oats are known for their fibre, including beta-glucan, and they give the drink a thicker, porridge-like body. Soy drink adds plant protein and a mild, slightly nutty taste. The banana brings sweetness, so no sugar is needed.

The smoothie is ideal for mornings when there is no time to sit down for breakfast, or as a snack before sport. With plant yoghurt it becomes fully vegan.

Bartender tips

  • Soak the oats in the soy drink for 10 minutes first for an even smoother texture.
  • A pinch of cinnamon suits banana and oats very well.

Variations

Cocoa banana
Add 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder for a chocolate breakfast shake.
