About this smoothie

Papaya and pineapple are two of the most common fruits in tropical regions, and they complement each other well: papaya is soft, sweet and mild, pineapple juicy and tangy. Both are known for their vitamin C and contain enzymes, papain and bromelain respectively.

Mint keeps the sweet fruit from feeling heavy and makes the smoothie very refreshing. Only a few leaves are needed per glass. Vegan, light and colourful, it is well suited to hot days and summer breakfasts.

Bartender tips

  • A squeeze of lime lifts the papaya flavour noticeably.
  • Frozen pineapple chunks make the smoothie colder without ice.

Variations

With coconut water
Replace the water with coconut water for a sweeter, more tropical taste.
