Apple Pineapple Smoothie with Passion Fruit and Mint
Taste
Tangy and tropical, juicy and fresh, with intense passion fruit aroma and a cool mint finish.
About this smoothie
Pineapple and passion fruit are both aromatic and tangy, and together they give this smoothie an intense tropical character. Red apple adds a milder, juicy sweetness and body, and fresh mint brings a cooling note that keeps the drink light.
If you find a baby pineapple, it is often particularly sweet and tender and can be used almost whole after peeling. This smoothie is lovely on warm days, for a summer brunch or as a refreshing afternoon drink.
Bartender tips
Blend only briefly after adding the passion fruit, so the seeds stay whole.
Frozen pineapple makes the smoothie thick and icy.
