Light, tangy and aromatic, with juicy pineapple and perfumed passion fruit.

About this smoothie

Pineapple is sweet, tangy and very juicy, and passion fruit adds an intensely perfumed acidity along with its edible, crunchy seeds. Both fruits are known for their vitamin C. With water instead of coconut milk, the flavours stay bright and clear, and the drink is lighter.

The smoothie is vegan and very refreshing, ideal for hot days or a light breakfast. Pick a slightly wrinkled passion fruit, as the wrinkles show it is ripe.

Bartender tips

  • Add the passion fruit pulp for the last few seconds only if you want to keep the seeds whole.
  • Use frozen pineapple for a slushy texture.

Variations

With coconut milk
Replace the water with coconut milk for a creamier, richer glass.
