Pear Strawberry Smoothie with Mint and Milk

Cold milk turns this pear and strawberry smoothie into something close to a light milkshake. A few mint leaves keep it from being too sweet and add a cool note at the end.

About this smoothie

Pear and strawberry complement each other well: the pear is juicy and mild, the strawberry fragrant and slightly tart. Half a banana adds body, and milk makes the smoothie creamy while supplying protein and calcium. Mint is the surprise here, just enough to freshen the finish.

This milky version is more filling than the water-based fruit smoothies and suits breakfast or an afternoon snack, especially for anyone who prefers a creamy glass.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen strawberries make it thicker, almost like a milkshake.
  • Use only a few mint leaves: they should support, not dominate.

Variations

Vegan version
Replace the milk with an oat or soy drink.
