Pear and Melon Smoothie with Baby Spinach

Taste

Mild, juicy and fresh, sweet melon and pear with only a faint green note.

About this smoothie

Honeydew melon has a pale green, very juicy flesh with a mild, honeyed sweetness and a high water content, which makes it ideal for light, refreshing smoothies. A ripe pear adds body and fibre, and baby spinach contributes folate and vitamin K while tasting very mild. The fruit sweetness dominates, so the drink tastes fresh and fruity rather than grassy. A light breakfast smoothie or a refreshing drink between meals.

Bartender tips

  • Put the spinach in first, next to the blades, so it blends completely.
  • For more sweetness, blend in half a banana.

Variations

With lime and mint
Add a squeeze of lime and 4 mint leaves for a fresher flavour.
