About this smoothie

Papaya and pineapple are a natural tropical pair. Papaya is soft, mild and honeyed, pineapple sweet, tangy and very juicy, so they balance each other well. Both fruits are known for their vitamin C and contain enzymes, papain and bromelain, which is why the smoothie should be enjoyed fresh.

With water as the only liquid, the drink stays light and vegan. It suits a summer breakfast or a refreshing afternoon glass.

Bartender tips

  • Use frozen pineapple for a frosty, thicker smoothie.
  • A squeeze of lime lifts the flavour if the papaya is very mild.

Variations

Creamy tropical
Replace the water with coconut milk.
