About this smoothie

Rolled oats are a popular smoothie addition because they add body and make a drink more filling. They contain fibre, including beta glucan, and blend smoothly when soaked briefly. Banana and yogurt add creaminess, and fresh orange juice brings vitamin C and a bright flavour.

Orange juice and milk together may sound unusual, but with yogurt and oats the mix stays smooth and tastes a bit like a creamy orange dessert. Best enjoyed in the morning.

Bartender tips

  • Soaking the oats first gives a smoother texture.
  • Drink it soon: oats thicken the smoothie as it stands.

Variations

Vegan version
