Mango Pear Smoothie with Fresh Mint

Mango and pear are both soft, sweet and fragrant, and together they make a velvety smoothie. A few mint leaves keep it from feeling too rich.

About this smoothie

This smoothie pairs a tropical fruit with an orchard fruit. Mango brings creaminess and a deep, sweet aroma, while pear adds juice, a floral fragrance and a slightly grainy texture that blends into silkiness. Fresh mint adds a cool contrast.

Mango provides vitamin C and carotenoids, pear fibre. With water as the base and no added sugar, it is a light but satisfying smoothie for breakfast or a warm afternoon.

Bartender tips

  • Use a really ripe pear; a firm one makes the smoothie bland and slightly starchy.
  • Add a few ice cubes on hot days for a colder, more refreshing drink.

Variations

Ginger version
Swap the mint for a small piece of fresh ginger for a warmer flavour.
