About this smoothie

Lamb's lettuce and baby spinach are two of the mildest leaves for green smoothies, and together they give a soft, slightly nutty flavour and a bright colour. A ripe nectarine brings juiciness, sweetness and vitamin C, half a banana body and potassium. The leaves add folate and vitamin K.

The old recipe named banana in its title but left it out of the list, so it has been added here in a small amount. The result stays light and fruity. A fresh glass for summer mornings.

Bartender tips

  • Very ripe nectarines make the drink sweeter; add a peach if yours are firm.
  • Wash lamb's lettuce in a bowl of water to get rid of sand.

Variations

Creamy version
Replace the water with oat milk for a thicker, creamier smoothie.
