About this smoothie

Lamb's lettuce and baby spinach are both very mild leaves, which makes them ideal for green smoothie beginners. Lamb's lettuce adds a slightly nutty flavour, spinach mostly colour. Leafy greens like these are generally known to contain folate and vitamin K. The ripe banana provides all the sweetness and a creamy texture.

The smoothie is plant based, quick and inexpensive, and it works as a breakfast glass or a small snack.

Bartender tips

  • The riper the banana, the sweeter and creamier the smoothie.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon or lime for more freshness.

Variations

With apple
Add half an apple for a fresher, slightly tart taste.
