Taste

Fresh and fruity, with tangy kiwi, juicy pear and a light, nutty creaminess.

About this smoothie

Kiwis are rich in vitamin C and have a lively acidity, while pears are soft, juicy and mildly sweet. Together they balance each other well, so only a little agave syrup is needed, if any.

Almond drink keeps the smoothie light and dairy free and adds a subtle nutty note. Baby spinach contributes vitamin K and a bright green colour without much flavour. A refreshing breakfast smoothie that is not too heavy.

Bartender tips

  • Do not blend for too long: crushed kiwi seeds can taste bitter.
  • A ripe, soft pear makes the smoothie sweeter and smoother.

Variations

With lamb's lettuce
Swap the spinach for lamb's lettuce for a milder, nuttier green.
