About this smoothie

Rocket, also called arugula, has a distinctive peppery taste because it belongs to the mustard family. In small amounts it gives sweet fruit smoothies an interesting, slightly spicy edge.

The juicy pear provides sweetness, the kiwi acidity and vitamin C. Almond drink rounds everything off and makes the smoothie light and dairy free. If you enjoy salads with pear and rocket, you will probably like this smoothie too.

Bartender tips

  • Start with less rocket if you are unsure; it can dominate quickly.
  • Use baby rocket for a milder flavour.

Variations

With spinach
Use half rocket and half baby spinach for a gentler version.
