Kiwi Oat Smoothie with Mint Tea

Cold peppermint tea gives this green smoothie a cooling finish. With juicy pear and tart kiwi it tastes a little like a fruit salad with fresh mint.

About this smoothie

Peppermint tea brings a clear, cooling aroma without any sugar, and it is naturally caffeine free. Chilled, it is a refreshing base for green fruit.

Kiwi contributes vitamin C and acidity, pear adds juicy sweetness, and the oats make the smoothie filling enough for breakfast. It is especially pleasant on hot days, when a milky smoothie feels too heavy.

Bartender tips

  • Brew the tea strong, the mint aroma fades a little when cold.
  • A few fresh mint leaves blended in make the mint note brighter.

Variations

With cucumber
Add 80 g cucumber for an even more refreshing, less sweet smoothie.
