About this smoothie

Avocado and coconut milk provide a rich, smooth base, and kiwi cuts through it with bright acidity. The pear softens the sharpness of the kiwi and sweetens without sugar. Kiwis are known for their vitamin C content, avocados for monounsaturated fat.

This smoothie is filling and works well as breakfast. Blend the kiwi last and briefly, so its small seeds stay whole and do not make the drink bitter.

Bartender tips

  • Short blending after adding kiwi prevents bitterness from crushed seeds.
  • A frozen pear half makes the drink colder and thicker.

Variations

Lighter version
Use coconut water instead of coconut milk.
