About this smoothie

Oats, nuts and banana are the classic muesli trio, and blended together they make a smoothie that is genuinely filling. Walnuts are known for their plant omega-3 fatty acids, and oats provide fibre and slow-release carbohydrates.

Almond drink keeps the base light and nutty, while a little yogurt adds creaminess and freshness. A good choice for long mornings or before a busy day.

Bartender tips

  • Toast the walnuts briefly in a dry pan for a stronger, rounder nut flavour.
  • If it is too thick, add almond drink in 30 ml steps.

Variations

Vegan version
Use a plant-based yogurt alternative instead of natural yogurt.

Frequently asked questions

Can I prepare it the night before?

Yes, in a closed jar in the fridge. It thickens overnight, so stir in a splash of almond drink in the morning.

Can I use other nuts?

Yes, hazelnuts, almonds or cashews all work.

Is it vegan?

Not with dairy yogurt. Use a plant yogurt to make it vegan.
