About this smoothie

Kiwis are well known for their high vitamin C content, and their tangy flavour makes smoothies taste fresh. Blackberries add colour, fibre and a darker fruit note. The combination of green kiwi and purple berries gives the smoothie a muted mauve colour, which is normal. Coconut milk drink rounds off the acidity with a creamy, mildly sweet coconut flavour. It fits a fruity breakfast or an afternoon break.

Bartender tips

  • Do not blend kiwis too long: crushed seeds can make the drink slightly bitter.
  • If the smoothie is too tart, add half a banana or a teaspoon of honey.

Variations

Golden kiwi
Use gold kiwis for a sweeter, less acidic version.
