About this smoothie

Banana milk is a household favourite in many countries, and for good reason: a ripe banana is so sweet and creamy that no sugar is needed. Milk contributes protein and calcium, and the banana adds potassium and natural sweetness.

The smoothie is filling enough for a quick breakfast and a good snack after sport. The riper the banana, with brown spots on the skin, the sweeter and more aromatic the drink becomes.

Bartender tips

  • Freeze the banana in slices beforehand for a thick, ice cold shake without ice cubes.
  • A pinch of cinnamon or a drop of vanilla adds depth.

Variations

Chocolate banana
Blend in 1 teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder.
