About this smoothie

The banana provides sweetness and a thick, creamy body, while the three berries each contribute their own character: raspberries bring acidity, blueberries mild sweetness and colour, blackberries a deeper, darker fruit note. Berries are known for their fibre and colourful plant pigments. Milk and yogurt make it creamy and add some protein.

Frozen mixed berries work perfectly and are available all year. This smoothie is a reliable breakfast and popular with children.

Bartender tips

  • A frozen berry mix makes the smoothie thick and cold without ice.
  • Use a very ripe banana with brown spots for the most sweetness.

Variations

Vegan berry smoothie
