About this smoothie

Strawberry and yoghurt are a familiar duo from breakfast bowls and desserts, and in a smoothie they work just as well. Strawberries are a good source of vitamin C; blueberries add colour and a milder sweetness. Natural yoghurt brings creaminess and a fresh tang, while unsweetened almond drink adds a light nutty note and keeps the smoothie from becoming too heavy. It is quick to make and suits breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Bartender tips

  • If the strawberries are very hard, let them thaw for 5 minutes first.
  • Unsweetened almond drink keeps the fruit flavour clear; sweeten with honey only if needed.

Variations

Vegan version
Use soy or almond yoghurt instead of natural yoghurt.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use fresh strawberries?

Not with dairy yoghurt; a plant-based yoghurt makes it vegan.
