About this smoothie

Rice milk is one of the mildest plant drinks: naturally sweet, thin and neutral, so it lets the fruit take the lead. Here it carries two berries with different characters, fragrant, tart raspberries and softer blueberries, plus a little banana and natural yoghurt for creaminess.

Raspberries are a good source of vitamin C and fibre. Because rice milk is lighter than cow's milk, this smoothie feels refreshing rather than heavy and suits a summer breakfast.

Bartender tips

  • Rice milk is thin, so frozen berries help to get a thicker smoothie.
  • Strain it through a sieve if you dislike raspberry seeds.

Variations

Vegan version
Use soy yoghurt instead of natural yoghurt.
