Raspberry Banana Smoothie with Coconut Water

Banana and yoghurt make this glass creamy, raspberries give it colour and tang. Coconut water keeps it lighter than a milk-based smoothie.

About this smoothie

Coconut water, the clear liquid from young green coconuts, tastes mildly sweet and contains potassium, which is why many people like it after sport. Here it forms a light base for banana and raspberries. The banana adds sweetness and body, raspberries a fresh acidity along with fibre and vitamin C, and a little natural yoghurt makes the texture creamy. A good glass after a workout or for breakfast.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen raspberries make the smoothie thicker and colder.
  • Use plain, unsweetened coconut water.

Variations

Vegan version
Replace the yoghurt with coconut or soy yoghurt.
