About this smoothie

Coconut water is the clear liquid from young green coconuts. It tastes lightly sweet and nutty and naturally contains potassium, which is why it is popular after sport. Here it replaces water and gives the smoothie a subtle coconut note. Pineapple provides tropical acidity and sweetness, apple and pear add body and fibre.

The smoothie is light, fruity and refreshing. It fits a summer breakfast, a beach day or the time after a workout.

Bartender tips

  • Choose unsweetened coconut water without added flavourings.
  • Freeze some of the coconut water as ice cubes for an extra cold smoothie.

Variations

With lime
Add a squeeze of lime juice for a fresher, more tart version.
