Pear Strawberry Smoothie with Yoghurt

Taste

Fruity and sweet, with ripe strawberry flavour, juicy pear and a light yoghurt creaminess.

About this smoothie

Strawberries bring bright, sweet-tart berry flavour and are known for their vitamin C. A ripe pear adds juiciness and a soft body, and a spoon of natural yoghurt makes the smoothie slightly creamy. The teaspoon of strawberry jam from the original recipe is a clever trick when strawberries are not fully ripe: it intensifies the flavour.

The result is a friendly, fruity smoothie that children usually like. Enjoy it for breakfast or as an afternoon snack.

Bartender tips

  • Skip the jam when strawberries are in season and fully ripe.
  • Frozen strawberries make it thicker; add a little more water if needed.

Variations

Mint version
Blend in a few mint leaves for a fresher summer smoothie.
