About this smoothie

Passion fruit has an intense, floral aroma and a lot of acidity, so it needs a mild partner. Banana is ideal: sweet, creamy and neutral enough to let the passion fruit shine.

Fresh mint adds a cool note that makes the smoothie very refreshing. The original recipe used a whole handful of mint; a few leaves per glass are enough to taste it. The small black seeds of the passion fruit stay in the drink and give a light crunch. Vegan and simple, ready in a few minutes.

Bartender tips

  • Press the passion fruit pulp through a sieve first if you prefer no seeds.
  • A frozen banana makes the smoothie thick and cold.

Variations

With mango
Add 80 g mango for a sweeter, more tropical version.
