Avocado and Banana Smoothie with Mint

Avocado and banana make this smoothie almost as thick as a milkshake, and fresh mint gives it a cool, clean finish. The colour is a soft pastel green.

About this smoothie

Avocado and banana are two of the creamiest fruits you can blend: avocado brings a buttery texture and mostly unsaturated fats, banana adds sweetness and body. Together they need nothing more than cold water to become a thick, silky drink. Fresh mint lifts the flavour and keeps it from tasting heavy.

The smoothie is vegan and filling, a good breakfast or a snack after exercise. On hot days it is especially refreshing thanks to the mint.

Bartender tips

  • A squeeze of lime juice brightens the flavour and keeps the colour green.
  • Use a frozen banana for an even thicker, colder smoothie.

Variations

With spinach
Add 15 g baby spinach for a stronger green colour.
