About this smoothie

Nectarines bring a fragrant, peachy sweetness and plenty of juice, especially in July and August. Their thin skin blends easily, so they need no peeling. Baby spinach adds green leaves without changing the flavour much. The mix of orange fruit and green leaves gives the smoothie an olive gold colour, which is normal. Cooled fruit tea keeps it light and adds aroma without added sugar. It suits a summer breakfast or an afternoon break.

Bartender tips

  • Only fragrant, ripe nectarines give enough sweetness for a green smoothie.
  • Frozen nectarine slices make the drink thicker and colder.

Variations

Creamy version
Add 2 tbsp natural yogurt for a softer, creamier smoothie.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the colour not bright green?

Orange fruit and green spinach mix to an olive tone. That does not affect the flavour.

Is it vegan?

Yes, it is fully plant based.

Can I use peaches?

Yes, peel them first if you do not like the fuzzy skin.
