About this smoothie

Mango and pineapple are one of the classic tropical smoothie pairings: mango brings creamy body and sweetness, pineapple the acidity that keeps it from being cloying. Both contain vitamin C, and mango also provitamin A. Half a banana makes the texture even smoother, and fresh mint gives a cool, herbal lift. This version is sweeter and creamier than many green smoothies, a sunny glass for breakfast or a hot afternoon.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen mango and pineapple make it almost like a sorbet.
  • Use only the mint leaves; the stems taste grassy.

Variations

With basil
Swap the mint for basil; see our Mango Pineapple Smoothie with Basil.
