About this smoothie

Cherimoya originates from the Andes region of South America and is grown today in Spain and other warm areas. Its white flesh tastes like a mix of pineapple, banana and pear, with a creamy texture. The large black seeds are not edible and must be removed completely before blending.

Kale and rocket add a strong green flavour and some bitterness, which the sweet cherimoya balances well. This is a smoothie for those who like to try something unusual.

Bartender tips

  • A ripe cherimoya gives slightly when pressed, like a ripe avocado.
  • Remove every seed carefully; they must not be blended or eaten.

Variations

Banana instead of cherimoya
If you cannot find cherimoya, use a ripe banana and a few pineapple chunks.
