About this smoothie

Blueberries are mild and sweet, raspberries more tart, and together they give a rounded berry flavour. Canned mandarins bring their own sweet juice, so there is no need for sugar. Blueberries are known for their dark pigments, called anthocyanins, and all three fruits contain vitamin C.

The smoothie is light, as it contains no banana or dairy. Serve it as a fruity breakfast drink or a cool snack in summer.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen wild blueberries have more flavour and give an even darker colour.
  • For a smooth texture without raspberry seeds, strain the smoothie through a sieve.

Variations

Creamy
Add 2 tbsp natural yoghurt for a softer, creamier version.
