Banana Smoothie with Macadamia Nuts

Macadamias are the most buttery of all nuts, and blended with banana and yoghurt they make a smoothie that tastes almost like a dessert. Two plant milks keep it light.

About this smoothie

Macadamia nuts originally come from Australia and have a mild, buttery flavour and a high content of mostly unsaturated fats. Blended into a smoothie they add creaminess and a gentle nuttiness. Banana brings natural sweetness, natural yoghurt freshness and some protein, and a mix of almond and oat milk gives a light, slightly sweet base. A filling glass for breakfast or after sport.

Bartender tips

  • Soaking the nuts gives a smoother texture, especially in a small blender.
  • Lightly roasted macadamias make the flavour deeper.

Variations

Vegan version
Use a plant-based yoghurt instead of dairy yoghurt.
