About this smoothie

Banana and avocado are both valued in smoothies for their texture: blended, they turn thick and creamy without any milk or yoghurt. The banana provides natural sweetness, the avocado mostly unsaturated fat and a mild, buttery taste.

The result is a pale green smoothie that is filling and simple. A few drops of lime juice keep the colour fresh and add a little brightness. Because there are only two fruits, their ripeness decides everything: choose a speckled banana and a soft avocado.

Bartender tips

  • A frozen banana makes the smoothie cold and thick like ice cream.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla for a dessert-like version.

Variations

With spinach
Blend in 20 g baby spinach for a brighter green smoothie.
