About this smoothie

A ripe pear is soft, very juicy and has a delicate floral sweetness, so it needs little help in a smoothie. Half a banana adds body and prevents the drink from separating, while water keeps it light and lets the fruit speak for itself.

Without milk this smoothie is vegan and easy to digest for most people. It suits breakfast, a snack between meals or a quick glass after exercise.

Bartender tips

  • The riper the pear, the sweeter and smoother the smoothie.
  • A pinch of cinnamon or a slice of ginger adds a subtle spice.

Variations

Creamy
Replace the water with oat milk for a richer glass.
