About this smoothie

Kiwis are well known for being rich in vitamin C and have a lively, tangy flavour. Avocado has almost no acidity and a creamy texture, so it smooths out the sharpness of the kiwi. A teaspoon of honey rounds off the flavour.

The smoothie is fresh but filling thanks to the avocado, which makes it a good breakfast or post workout glass. Drink it soon after blending, as both kiwi and avocado lose colour and flavour when they stand.

Bartender tips

  • Blend only until smooth; crushed kiwi seeds can taste bitter.
  • Use ripe kiwis that give slightly under your thumb.

Variations

With spinach
Add 15 g baby spinach for an even greener glass.
