About this smoothie

This is a minimal green smoothie. A sweet red apple provides fruitiness and fibre, baby spinach the green colour with only a mild taste. Peppermint tea replaces water or juice and brings a cooling menthol note, without sugar and without caffeine. Because it contains neither dairy nor added sugar, the drink stays light and refreshing. It fits a warm morning, a break at work or a quiet evening.

Bartender tips

  • Brew the tea a little stronger than usual so the mint comes through clearly.
  • Freeze some of the tea as ice cubes and blend them in for an icy drink.

Variations

Double mint
Add 5 fresh mint leaves for an even more intense mint flavour.
