About this smoothie

Apple, banana and cinnamon are a familiar trio from apple pies and porridge toppings, and they work just as well in a glass. The red apple is blended with its skin for fibre and body, the banana makes it creamy, and cinnamon adds warmth without any sugar.

Because it uses water, the smoothie is light and vegan. It suits autumn and winter mornings especially well, when apples are in season.

Bartender tips

  • Use Ceylon cinnamon for a milder, more delicate aroma.
  • For a creamier glass, replace the water with oat milk.

Variations

Apple pie
Add 1 tablespoon of rolled oats and a drop of vanilla for a breakfast glass.
