About this smoothie

This is one of the richer smoothies in the collection, with yoghurt and whole milk as the base. Mango brings sweetness, colour and a naturally creamy texture, and it is a good source of vitamin C. Yoghurt adds tang and protein. Fresh mint keeps the heavy base feeling fresh, and a few leaves are enough. It works well as a filling breakfast or a cooling drink on a hot day.

Bartender tips

  • Use only the leaves; mint stems taste woody and slightly bitter.
  • Chill the yoghurt and milk well, or use frozen mango for an ice-cold smoothie.

Variations

Vegan version
Use soy yoghurt and soy drink; the mint and mango carry the flavour just as well.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use dried mint?

Fresh mint works much better here. Dried mint tastes dusty in a cold drink.

Is it vegan?

Only with soy yoghurt and soy drink instead of dairy.

Can I prepare it the night before?

Yes, store it closed in the fridge and stir before serving. The mint flavour gets slightly stronger overnight.
