About this smoothie

Strawberry and banana have been a standard smoothie combination for decades, because the tart berries and creamy banana balance each other so well. This version uses water rather than milk, so it stays light and fruity, and a little nectarine adds extra aroma.

Strawberries are known to be a good source of vitamin C. The smoothie suits breakfast, a snack for children or a quick refresher in summer.

Bartender tips

  • Use milk or yoghurt instead of some of the water for a creamier result.
  • Frozen strawberries replace ice and make it thicker.

Variations

Classic creamy
Replace the water with milk and leave out the nectarine for the classic strawberry banana shake style.
