About this smoothie

Spinach, avocado and pineapple is one of the most balanced green smoothie combinations. The avocado provides creaminess and is known for its monounsaturated fat, the spinach contributes colour and a mild leafy taste, and the pineapple supplies sweetness and acidity so the drink does not taste flat. No banana is needed.

The smoothie is plant based and fairly filling, good for breakfast or as a small meal when time is short.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen pineapple makes the smoothie thicker and ice cold.
  • Pineapple acidity also helps keep the avocado green a little longer.

Variations

Coconut twist
Replace the water with coconut water for a lighter, more tropical glass.

Can I prepare it the night before?

Better not, avocado browns and the taste becomes flat after some hours.
