About this smoothie

Papaya is soft, sweet and mild, which makes it a great base but a little one dimensional on its own. Fresh mint changes that: it adds a cool, clean aroma that makes the whole drink taste lighter. Papaya is rich in vitamin C and contains carotenoids, and nectarine brings extra juice and fragrance.

This smoothie is refreshing rather than filling, ideal for a hot day, as part of breakfast or after a walk. Use a papaya with mostly yellow skin that gives a little under your thumb.

Bartender tips

  • A squeeze of lime juice brings out the papaya aroma.
  • Use fewer mint leaves if you prefer a subtle herbal note.

Variations

Creamy
Add 3 tbsp natural yoghurt for a thicker, more filling smoothie.
