About this smoothie

Instead of juice, this smoothie uses whole peeled oranges, which keeps more of the fruit, including fibre, in the glass; oranges are well known for their vitamin C. A ripe apricot contributes a soft, fragrant sweetness and provitamin A, and half a banana adds body. Coconut water, the clear liquid of young coconuts, forms a light, slightly sweet base. A sunny glass for breakfast or after exercise.

Bartender tips

  • Remove as much white pith as possible to avoid bitterness.
  • Out of season, use two soaked dried apricots instead of a fresh one.

Variations

Creamy version
