About this smoothie

Nectarines are a smooth-skinned variety of peach and are at their best in high summer. Their thin skin blends easily, so they can go into the blender unpeeled. The pear adds body, and rice drink, which is naturally mild and slightly sweet, keeps the smoothie light and free from dairy, soy and nuts. That makes it a good option for people who avoid these foods. It suits breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Bartender tips

  • Only really ripe nectarines give enough aroma; they should smell fragrant and give slightly.
  • Frozen nectarine slices make the smoothie thicker and colder.

Variations

With raspberries
Add 50 g raspberries for a pink colour and more acidity.
